Quantum 1.0 release milestone achieved (as early beta release) and the Core team hosted a hybrid hackathon event, physically located in Velizy, enhanced by remote contributions from members of the Quantum Guild to test this first release.
After thirteen design and development sprints, this new identity coincided with Release 1.0 of the Quantum design system, which consists of web responsive components, themes, styles, and documentation for immediate use by Thales designers and developers.
To test the Quantum 1.0 release, the TDS core team hosted a hybrid hackathon event, physically located in Velizy, enhanced by remote contributions from members of the Quantum Guild. Designers and developers were invited to address the following challenges in 6 hours:
Designers: Using Quantum, redesign famous digital products from the market
Developers: Migrate the project of your choice to Quantum or Contribute to Quantum by developing a core component in the backlog.
The hackathon teams produced amazing outputs, ranging from a redesign of Uber, Amazon and Tinder apps using Quantum, to the development of new components and migration of parts of the Topaz Design System.
Most importantly, the experience of using Quantum under time constraints led to valuable design and development outcomes:
