How do I contribute to the QDS?
PMThe Quantum Design System is currently a work-in-progress, you can request to join the Guild Programme to contribute. Quantum Guild programme involves decentralized active members from around Thales organization to participate in Quantum Design System acceleration, deployment and quality. What is the QDS Design process?
DesignIn order to meet all the Thales businesses needs and technical constraints.The QDS core team starts by exploring all the industry standards and the Thales Design inventory outcomes. Then they involve the Guild members’ for feedbacks and pair-reviews. Once the design is done, every stylings attributes are produced in tokens to ensure consistency and the single source of Design through for development hand-off.
What are the solution choices?
DesignCodeQDS is based on the best in class of industry standards and Thales’ business specificities… The solutions on the market (inc. open-sourced) are interesting but not fully compatible with Thales business expectations. We look at building the Design System which will fit the Thales’ entities needs & constraints. QDS solution ownership is needed for: -Limiting the future third parties' dependencies and constraints. -Producing design patterns which are fully aligned with the Thales businesses. -Implementing technical libraries compatible with the Thales technology variability.
